Procedure

  1. Disconnect the power cable and the data cable from the hard drive.
  2. Remove the two screws (#6-32xL6.35) that secure the hard-drive assembly to the drive cage. Image: Removing the power and data cables from secondary hard-drive assembly
  3. Using the pull-tab, slide the hard-drive assembly toward the inside of the computer and lift it off the drive cage. Image: Removing the hard-drive assembly
  4. Turn the hard-drive assembly over.
  5. Remove the two screws (#6-32xL3.6) that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard-drive assembly.
